Wraparound Care That Supports Families
We understand the demands of family life, which is why Aldwickbury offers flexible wraparound care to support both parents and pupils.
With a welcoming Breakfast Club and After School Club, pupils can start and end their day in a relaxed, familiar setting. Our extended day options give families greater flexibility while ensuring pupils remain engaged, happy and supported throughout.
Breakfast Club
Starting every morning at 7:30am, pupils have access to Breakfast Club. We offer a variety of catering options, with cereals, toast and yoghurts always available.
After breakfast, our facilities cater to different age groups, offering pupils a friendly and relaxed start to the school day.
After School Club
Our After School Club plays a key role in Aldwickbury’s wider wraparound care provision, offering a relaxed, friendly space for pupils in Nursery to Year 6 to enjoy at the end of each school day. While our Senior pupils in Years 7 and 8 have an extended school day until 5:45pm, which includes dedicated prep time to complete homework, leaving evenings free for quality family time.
It runs Monday to Friday from 3:00 to 6:00pm, the club has three sessions to help fit around busy family routines.
Pupils can choose from a range of fun and engaging activities from creative crafts and board games or outdoor play such as football, table tennis or simply time on our climbing frames. It’s a calm, familiar setting where pupils can unwind, explore their interests and enjoy time with friends.
We ensure that our After School Club provides not only care but enrichment and enjoyment, making it a part of the day pupils genuinely look forward to.
Clubs, Activities and Prep Time
Aldwickbury offers a rich programme of co-curricular activities as part of our extended school day. Alongside After School Club, pupils can explore a wide variety of interests from chess, robotics and LAMDA to climbing, fencing and triathlon. These clubs, available across both the Pre-Prep, Junior and Middle and Senior Departments ensure our pupils can discover new passions beyond the classroom.
For Middle and Senior pupils in Years 5 to 8, dedicated prep time is built into the school day. Pupils in Years 5 and 6 complete their homework at school until 5:10pm, while those in Years 7 and 8 stay until 5:45pm. This structure reflects our boarding heritage and supports a healthy balance between academic focus and time for family, particularly for busy working parents.
Holiday Club
To support families outside of term time, Aldwickbury runs a Holiday Club for pupils and their siblings during selected school holidays. Led by our own teachers, teaching assistants and gappers, the club forms part of our year-round wraparound care.
With craft activities, games, outdoor play and fun sessions facilitated by external providers, the Holiday Club offers a relaxed and familiar environment for pupils to enjoy time with friends outside of term time.
