Wrap Around Care
At Aldwickbury we understand the logistical nightmare that parenting today can be and it is for this reason we are able to offer parents child-care around the school day.
Our extended day enables all boys to join the boarders at breakfast every day at 7:40am and then join the Early Start facilities that are on offer for the varying age groups before the school day starts.
At the end of the day After School Club enables boys in Reception through to Year 6 to stay after school from 3:00 until 5:45 pm dependant on the time their school day finishes. We split the time into three sessions running from 3:00 – 4:00pm, 4:00 – 5:10pm and 5:10 – 5:45pm. It is a time when they can relax and enjoy themselves at the end of the day. A wide range of activities are offered to the boys from being creative with craft to playing board games. The boys are often keen to go outside playing football, table tennis or exploring the climbing frames.
The Club takes place on Monday to Friday.
Regular places can be booked in advance but parents are also able to sign up on a daily basis.
There is a charge for using the wrap around care dependant on the number of sessions attended.
In addition to this various clubs run alongside the After School Club. The Junior Department offers activities such as Art Club and Nature Club. There are drama and music lessons as well as fencing. Please see the other sections on the website for further details.
For some of the weeks during the school holidays we run a holiday club for all boys.
Please contact the school office for details on 01582 713022.
After School Club
The Aldwickbury Holiday Club has been running for a number of years now. It is exclusively for Aldwickbury boys and staffed by our own teachers, teaching assistants and gappers. We aim for it to be a relaxed, happy place where the boys are greeted by familiar faces and surroundings. There are all sorts of craft activities and games available all day. The boys love playing outside on the fields, tree house and climbing frames. We also bring in outside providers to ensure a lively variety in activities.
These are held for two weeks at the end of the summer term, a week in the October half term, a week if possible at Christmas and then a week during the Easter holidays dependent on where Easter falls.
