Extra Curricular Drama | Aldwickbury School

At Aldwickbury, extra-curricular drama plays a vibrant role in school life, giving pupils the chance to develop confidence and ignite a passion for performance. Whether stepping into a character, crafting original scenes or working backstage, pupils are encouraged to challenge themselves, discover new talents and enjoy the collaborative spirit of theatre.

From after-school drama clubs and LAMDA tuition to advanced scholars’ workshops and our much-loved senior productions, these extra-curricular opportunities allow every pupil to find their individual greatness.

After School Drama Club

Extra-curricular drama classes are offered to pupils in Years 1 to 8. These engaging sessions focus on drama games, improvisation and storytelling, allowing pupils to explore characters and build confidence through play and imagination.

LAMDA

From Year 3 onwards, pupils can choose to study for graded LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art) examinations. Lessons are available in small groups, pairs or one-to-one with our talented visiting LAMDA teachers. We offer a full range of performance and communication examinations, with consistently excellent results and growing demand each year.

Drama Scholars Programme

For senior pupils showing both aptitude and commitment to Drama, our advanced Scholars Programme provides targeted support and preparation for senior school Drama Scholarships. This class develops technique, stagecraft and performance skills to a high level.

Senior Production

Pupils in Years 7 and 8 can choose to take part in our major spring term senior production, either in a performance or technical role. Although optional, the production is a highlight of

the school year, and many pupils consider it a defining and memorable part of their Aldwickbury journey.
