Drama
Extra-Curricular drama is incredibly popular at Aldwickbury and is an integral part of school life.
As well as our drama curriculum, Aldwickbury offers:
After School Drama Club
There are extra-curricular drama classes, for boys in Years 1 to 8. These fun classes focus on drama games and improvisation creating worlds and characters from the boys’ imagination.
LAMDA
Boys can also choose to study for graded LAMDA examinations from Year 3. Classes are available in small groups, pairs or one to one with our team or talented visiting LAMDA teachers. We provide the full range of examinations in performance and communication. Our results are consistently excellent and not surprisingly the demand for LAMDA lessons continues to increase.
Drama Scholars Programme
For senior boys who express both an aptitude and commitment to Drama, there is an advanced scholar’s class; working towards senior school Drama Scholarships.
Senior Production
Senior boys in Years 7 and 8 can choose to participate in the spring term senior production in a performing or technical role. Although this is optional, the majority of senior boys are desperate to take part in a showstopping Aldwickbury senior production and often site the senior production as one of their most memorable school moments.
Recent senior productions include;
- Bugsy Malone
- Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
- Oliver
- Alex in Wonderland
