A Holistic Approach to Development
At Aldwickbury, our longer school day allows us to blend a strong academic curriculum with a wealth of extra-curricular activities. Our unique approach means that extra-curricular activities are built into the school day as a core part of each child’s experience. Pupils take part in enriching opportunities like chess, robotics, LAMDA, climbing and more, all during their normal timetable.
On top of this, over 80 additional clubs run before school, at break times and after hours. With options ranging from fencing and triathlon to drama, coding and music ensembles, there is something for every child to enjoy, explore and be inspired by.

Set within 20 acres of expansive grounds, we provide outstanding facilities that bring extra-curricular activities to life. Our dedicated STEM Hub offers pupils hands-on opportunities beyond the classroom, inspiring innovation through robotics, programming and science clubs.
Sport plays a key role in school life, with daily activities supported by an indoor swimming pool, full-size AstroTurf pitch and a state-of-the-art Sports Hall. These facilities allow pupils to engage in a wide range of sports, from cricket and football to fencing and triathlon, encouraging teamwork, resilience and a love of physical activity.
Music, drama and the arts also benefit from specialist spaces, enabling choirs, ensembles and productions to flourish. Whether rehearsing concerts, participating in clubs or enjoying creative projects, pupils have the resources they need to develop their talents and passions.

Extensive and Varied Opportunities
Music, drama and sport are all central to life at Aldwickbury, enriching the school experience and supporting each child’s development beyond the classroom.
From choirs and instrumental ensembles to regular performances and individual tuition, music encourages pupils to express themselves and grow in confidence. With over 200 individual lessons each week and a wide range of ensembles, including orchestra, rock band and samba, every child is supported to find joy in music and take part at a level that suits them.
Our drama classes help pupils develop communication skills, creativity, and self-assurance, and everyone takes part in our much-anticipated school productions. Those with a passion for the stage can also work towards LAMDA graded examinations. For senior pupils who express both an aptitude and commitment to drama, there is an advanced scholar’s class; working towards senior school drama scholarships.
Sport is also strongly supported through our extra-curricular programme, encouraging perseverance, teamwork and a love of movement in all pupils. Regular sporting events and fixtures provide pupils the opportunity to compete at the highest levels. Through specialist coaching, regular fixtures and dedicated training, they can represent Aldwickbury in county, regional and national competitions across a range of disciplines, achieving outstanding results.
