At Aldwickbury, geography is more than a subject, it’s an opportunity for pupils to explore the world around them, understand complex environments and develop a lifelong curiosity about people and places. Our geography curriculum is designed to inspire awareness of both physical landscapes and human activity, helping pupils appreciate the planet’s diversity and the challenges it faces.
We aim to nurture critical thinking and practical skills through hands-on learning, fieldwork and real-world connections. From the earliest years, pupils learn about the local environment and global themes, gradually building the knowledge and skills needed to understand geography at a deeper level. This approach not only prepares them academically for entrance exams but also encourages responsible citizenship and environmental stewardship.
