Boarding
Boarding life at Aldwickbury is marked by happiness, activity, and enjoyment.
Visitors often remark on the warm and welcoming atmosphere of our boys' boarding, noting the strong sense of community that permeates the environment. This sense of comfort stems from the nurturing atmosphere Aldwickbury provides, where boys feel truly at ease.
High Quality Care
Our dedicated boarding staff are readily approachable, always available for a friendly chat. We prioritise providing high-quality care to ensure the boys grow in confidence within a supportive and positive setting. Your son will quickly become part of a close-knit community, where he'll find ample opportunities to contribute, take responsibility, and engage in various activities. Mutual respect and camaraderie among the boys are fundamental to our school's ethos.
The Boarding Community
Involvement in the boarding community is encouraged and readily available.
Our comprehensive activity programme as well as the very popular theme nights offer a diverse range of opportunities for the boys. We believe it's beneficial for boys to experience boarding during their time at Aldwickbury, particularly if they plan to board at their senior school.
Flexible Boarding
We welcome all boys to board when they reach Year 5, whether or not they are considering boarding at 13+.
For boys in Year 5 we offer 'taster evenings' where they can experience boarding alongside friends. Following this, our boarding provision is flexible, allowing boys to choose regular or occasional nights as desired. Additionally, weekly boarding (Tuesday to Thursday nights) is available for those interested in exploring this option.
Pupils stated that they benefit greatly from the boarding experience where they are well cared for in terms of activities provided, food, sleep and hygiene.
