Our Section Captains were delighted to recently deliver 136 kg of supplies to the local foodbank. This week, we received confirmation from St Albans & District Foodbank that our donation equated to 322 meals, which will make a real difference to local people in crisis. The initiative was a collaborative effort that involved the entire school community, showcasing the positive impact that collective action can have on those in need.
During the term, as part of their Future Thinking Community lessons the boys collected donations including tinned food, long-life juices and cleaning supplies from different donation points across the school for the foodbank. The boys carefully organised all the donations and noted the various items received before the donation was taken to the foodbank.
This hands-on experience not only enriched their understanding of community engagement but also provided valuable insight into the significant work carried out by foodbanks across the country.
Thank you to everyone in our school community for their generous donations and for supporting the boys with their collection.
