Remembrance Day at Aldwickbury

,

This morning we held an outdoor Remembrance Service in front of the clock tower to remember all those men and women who have lost their lives bravely serving our country. We remember the ultimate sacrifice they made to defend our right to freedom and to protect our way of life.

Our thanks to Will, Sam and Max for reading during the service and to Zak who played The Last Post before the two-minute silence.

A wreath was then taken by boys from across the school to St Nicholas’s Church. On Sunday our Bursar, Ianek McLaughlin CMgr FCMI will attend Harpenden’s Remembrance Service and will lay the wreath on behalf of the school at Harpenden Memorial Cross.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning.
We will remember them.
