We were delighted to welcome Gigliola from SANDS, the Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Charity, last week to receive a cheque of £11,179.98 from Aldwickbury Friends Association (AFA). Gigliola personally thanked all the boys during their lunch break, expressing her gratitude on behalf of the organisation.
During the course of year, AFA has carried out a number of fundraising initiatives to support the boys’ chosen charity for 2023/2024, most notably holding their annual Bazaar in May. A considerable amount of time and effort goes into planning events like the Summer Bazaar and we’re very grateful to the whole Aldwickbury community for coming together to make the day so wonderful.
The Year 8 boys are now preparing their pitches for this year’s charity as part of the community strand of our Future Thinking curriculum.
