We’re delighted that the Aldwickbury Nursery is officially open, enabling boys and girls to begin their Aldwickbury journey from the age of 3.

The Aldwickbury Nursery was formally opened on Friday 4th September by Victoria Collins, MP for Harpenden and Berkhamsted. More than 60 guests attended the launch event to celebrate the occasion and explore the school’s newest learning environment. Families were invited to tour the purpose-built Nursery, meet Aldwickbury’s Early Years specialists and enjoy a range of activities, followed by afternoon tea.

The opening comes at an exciting time for Aldwickbury School as it continues its successful transition to co-education. The launch of the Nursery enables boys and girls to begin their Aldwickbury journey from the age of three, with the school set to become fully co-educational by 2031.

Aldwickbury Nursery offers a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can develop their confidence, curiosity and independence through play-based and specialist-led learning. With two purpose-built classrooms within a dedicated Early Years setting, Nursery pupils have the space and support to explore, discover and build a lifelong love of learning.

They also benefit from Aldwickbury’s outstanding facilities, including the swimming pool, state-of-the-art Sports Hall and dedicated STEM Hub, as well as 20 acres of beautiful grounds. From the very beginning of their Aldwickbury journey, children are given opportunities to experience a broad and enriching curriculum in an environment designed to help them thrive.

The opening of the Nursery marks an important milestone in Aldwickbury’s continued development and its transition to co-education. By welcoming boys and girls from the age of three, the Nursery provides an opportunity for children to become part of the Aldwickbury community from the very beginning of their education.

Incredibly excited to open our new Nursery

“The early years are a time of extraordinary growth and discovery, and we are incredibly excited to open our new Nursery. We have created a nurturing, engaging and joyful environment where children can feel safe to explore, develop their independence and build a lifelong love of learning. This new provision allows our youngest learners to benefit from the breadth of our curriculum and outstanding facilities from the very beginning of their learning journey, ensuring every child receives the very best start to their education. I am incredibly proud of the Aldwickbury Team and the exceptional offer we have in place, and I am looking forward to this exciting new chapter in Aldwickbury School’s journey.”
