It was fantastic to welcome the Aldwickbury community into school for our annual Prize Giving on Saturday.
Joining us for the occasion was former Paralympic Footballer Alistair Patrick-Heselton as our guest speaker. Alistair was truly inspirational, engaging our school community with his gripping story demonstrating to the boys the power of positive thinking and good learning habits. His message was clear that we can achieve whatever we put our minds to with passion, determination and hard work!
In his first Prize Giving speech in position Headmaster Paul Symes shared the highlights of his first year, celebrated the achievements and progress of the boys and his vision for Aldwickbury for the future. His speech was accompanied by some incredible musical performances from the boys.
It was also our very great pleasure to welcome Rosemary Castle and Sally Oliver, daughters of Kenneth Castle – the founding Headmaster of Aldwickbury, back to the school to present the Headmaster’s Cup.
The ceremony ended with a rousing performance from our school band ‘Sound Barrier’ who had the marquee rocking!
Well done to all the boys for all their hard work this year and a big thank you to the parents for their continued support.
