Last Friday, 84 of our choristers from our Junior, Senior and Chamber Choirs set off to London to perform at the O2 arena as part of Young Voices. The boys were part of the largest Children’s Choir in the World, with over 120,000 children singing across various venues across the UK. Within the O2, our boys were amongst 8,500 other children performing songs from a variety of artists and genres to an audience of 20,000 friends and family.
Some of the boys were understandably a little nervous about performing to a sell-out crowd, but you would never have guessed as the afternoon rehearsals eased their nerves and they confidently performed on the night. The boys were cheered on by parents on the opposite side of the arena and a team of enthusiastic staff who particularly embraced the 90s dance mash-up!
An amazing experience was had by all and one which will no doubt live long in the memories of all the boys, staff and parents who attended.
