See Your Child’s Greatness Come to Life
Aldwickbury is an award-winning independent co-educational Nursery and Prep School in Harpenden, for children aged 3–13. In September 2026, we opened our new Nursery as we continue our journey towards full co-education, extending the exceptional Aldwickbury education from the very start of a child’s learning journey.
With warmth, expertise and a commitment to every child’s development, our teachers inspire a love of learning that reaches far beyond the classroom. Through a holistic approach, we combine outstanding academic outcomes with exceptional opportunities in sport, the arts and co-curricular life.
From our new Nursery through to Year 8, every child is empowered to explore their interests, embrace new challenges and discover their strengths. Whether in the classroom, on the stage, on the sports field or in our dedicated STEM Hub, Aldwickbury pupils are free to find their greatness.
Our Admissions Team are very happy to answer any questions that you have and guide you through the admissions process.
Why Aldwickbury?
Guided by a Kaizen mindset, reflecting our commitment to continuous improvement, we are always looking for ways to enhance every aspect of school life. Whether it is the benefit of small class sizes, the extra-curricular activities built into each school day or the confidence with which our pupils take their next steps, this forward-thinking approach is just one of the many things that sets Aldwickbury apart.

An Award-Winning Education
As we move towards full co-education, our commitment to excellence continues to be recognised nationally. Following our Independent Boys’ School of the Year award in 2024, we have been selected as Commended in the Independent Prep School of the Year awards in 2026, with finalists to be announced in September.
