Pre-Prep (Reception - Year 2)

Welcome to the Aldwickbury's Pre-Prep

The Pre-Preparatory Department is a happy, purposeful and friendly place for boys aged 4-7 years. We have nine small classes, with three parallel classes in each year group. At the age of 7, boys move into Year 3 - the Junior department of our Prep School.

Our beautiful grounds and well-structured curriculum provide a secure and caring environment for learning. We encourage exploration and investigation in a stimulating environment to allow our boys to flourish both socially and academically.

We create an environment where all boys can be themselves. Our small class sizes (maximum of 16 per class in the Pre-Prep) enable us to offer differentiated teaching which challenges each boy at the appropriate level to ensure they achieve their very best. Extra-curricular clubs are offered to encourage boys to try different activities to discover and ignite their individual passions.

We encourage self-expression; we want boys to feel comfortable and confident to take risks with their learning. A co-operative partnership between home and school is vital to build a firm foundation and our positive behaviour management system, tailored to the age of the boy, is designed to foster an enthusiasm to learn.

We want to inspire boys and build their confidence by offering a solid foundation for learning. We strive to give the boys a well-rounded education and aim to produce kind and happy individuals who leave Pre-Prep ready for their Prep School journey.
