Aldwickbury Friends Association (AFA)
At Aldwickbury, we believe community is a key component to the School’s success. We have a wonderful Aldwickbury Friends Association (AFA) that offers parents a welcoming way to get involved, support the School and connect with other families. Together, we help build a strong and supportive community that benefits not only our pupils but also their families and the wider school community.
About AFA
AFA plays an important role in fostering the community spirit that makes Aldwickbury such a special place. By organising events, supporting school initiatives and raising funds for both key projects and selected charities, AFA brings parents, staff and pupils together in meaningful ways.
The committee is made up of around 15 parent volunteers and 4 members of staff, who work together to deliver a varied programme of events and activities throughout the year. Recent AFA projects have included fundraising for the School’s coffee truck and providing a BMX and scooter experience for all pupils.
Events
AFA events are a highlight of the school calendar and there are various events throughout the academic year. The events are designed to be fun, inclusive and great opportunities for families to connect.
Annual events include:
- Summer Party
- Summer Bazaar
- Quiz Night
- Firework Night
Second-Hand Uniform
The School’s second-hand uniform sales are organised by AFA, offering families an affordable and sustainable way to purchase uniform.
Parents can order second-hand uniform via an order form on the Parent Portal. If you have any questions about the second-hand uniform, please contact AFA at AFAuniform@gmail.com.
Fundraising
AFA provides great support to pupils and the school with fundraising. Events such as the annual Summer Bazaar help pupils raise funds for their chosen charity of the year. They also support the school with special fundraising projects, including the new Coffee Truck, where parents can enjoy a coffee while watching sport fixtures or on Friday mornings for Triathlon Club.

AFA always welcomes willing volunteers. It’s a fantastic way to meet other parents, contribute to school life and support your child’s experience at Aldwickbury.
