Aldwickbury Friends Association

Aldwickbury School Juniors

At Aldwickbury we actively encourage parental involvement in school life, considering it to be fundamental to the success of the School.  We are delighted to have an association for parents called Aldwickbury Friends Association (AFA).

We have always been aware of the supportive nature of our parental body. The fact that parents are always keen to support their son’s activities and those of the School in the wider sense is a testament to that. There is no doubt that one of the reasons for the success that our boys experience is that their parents are so supportive of their sons and of the School ethos.

AFA has helped to foster that sort of community spirit and will ensure that Aldwickbury continues to flourish for many years to come. AFA also help raise funds for large and small school projects and selective charities through arranging social and activity events such as the School Bazaar, Party and Quiz Night as well as a pottery painting morning for the ‘lads and their dads’ amongst many others. These events are always fun and inclusive.

The School's second-hand uniform sales are also organised by the AFA.

There are usually 10 parents and 4 staff on the committee, and AFA always welcomes willing volunteers. Please email AFA@aldwickbury.org.uk  if you would like to be involved.
