We’ve had another busy week in the Pre-Prep with photographs and immunisations alongside our usual lessons! I am pleased to say that the boys were all very brave and the vaccinations went smoothly yesterday.
The Reception boys have been busy making sweets as part of their learning about the Hindu festival of Diwali. Much fun was had mixing and shaping, resulting in some very sticky fingers and faces (and table tops), but very happy boys!
Year 1 have been learning about the Diwali story of Rama and Sita and completing other activities linked to the festival including Rangoli patterns and Mendhi hands.
Year 2 continue to learn about life in Victorian times, this week focusing on the Victorian Seaside, including Punch and Judy and bathing machines. Meanwhile in Science they have been using specific scientific vocabulary to describe the properties of materials and thinking about how these properties make materials suitable for different uses.
