Our Pre-Prep and Prep boys school in Harpenden, Hertfordshire is a vibrant and dynamic community, linking consistency and tradition with all that is best about modern educational practice. For 75 years, the success of the school has been based on a holistic education where boys embrace the wide range of opportunities on offer.  Our modern, fully-equipped facilities including a state-of-the-art sports hall and recently opened  STEM Hub, provide the ideal backdrop for your son's educational journey.

From day one, our boys find a sense of belonging, enabling them to be their authentic selves in a nurturing environment.  

Aldwickbury focuses on high academic standards, realistic expectations and embeds strong values supporting the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of the boys. The curriculum is forward thinking, broad, balanced and relevant, with a daily programme of Physical Education and Games. 

For boys, aged 4-7 years, the purpose-built Pre-Prep Department set within our extensive grounds is a happy, purposeful, friendly environment, where staff create a love of learning in small classes, laying a robust foundation for Prep School life.

Although now very much a day school, flexi boarding contributes much to the all-round educational experience on offer. From Year 5 boys have the option to try boarding at Aldwickbury, helping them to grow in confidence, within a supportive and positive environment.
