The Pre-Preparatory Department is a happy, purposeful and friendly place where boys from the ages of 4-7 years experience the joy of learning. Formerly known as Alwickbury Kindergarten, a new purpose-built school was opened in September 2001 alongside a safe, secure play area, within the extensive grounds of the Prep School. We have six small classes, with two parallel classes in each year group. At the age of 7, boys move into Year 3 at the Prep School. Mrs Christine Baynes is the Head of Pre-Prep.
We embrace the fundamental skills of listening, concentration and communication within a broad and balance curriculum. The boys are taught by experienced teachers and supported by trained Classroom Assistants and Teaching Assistants.
We encourage self expression linked to self discipline, as well as a caring attitude and respect for others.
