Walking to the North Pole

Monday 9th January 2012

We are looking forward to welcoming Robert Hill to Aldwickbury on Thursday 26 January to talk to our Year 6 to 8 boys.

Mr Hill and a friend have committed to walk unsupported to the North Pole next year under the theme ‘Challenge- Inspire-Community’. They are planning to walk the last degree of the globe - a distance of 110km in one of the most remote environments in the world.  As part of the Challenge they are visiting a number of schools in the community to give a short presentation of their adventure, and more importantly to promote a spirit of self-achievement, science and discovery.
