Swimming

 

We had our first gala of the term against Bedford Prep. We took 48 boys which is a record for the school and it meant we were able to have three boys in each individual race and in three relays teams at under 10 and 11 which is fantastic. We lost the match 215 to 243 but given that Bedford have over 90 boys in each year group this was a tremendous performance. There were lots of good performances and the Year 4 boys did really well in their first ever gala, well done everyone. In addition, we now have starting blocks in the Aldwickbury pool and the swimming squad have been using them already to improve their starts and at early morning swimming we have had over 25 boys for each session. Well done to all those who have come along and thank you to the parents for getting up earlier than normal!

Swimming

At our first gala of the year against Heath Mount, in a very close contest, we lost narrowly 156 to 164.  It was the first gala for our Year 3 boys who did very well and seemed to enjoy the experience!  Well done to our Year 6 boys who won all their races.  We entertain HABS on Tuesday 31 January starting at 4:30pm.  All spectators are very welcome.
