Success on the cricket wicket!

Congratulations to the 1st XI cricket team who went through to the 2^nd round of the JET cup - a national competition. On a slightly damp wicket it was a good toss to win and after inserting Swanbourne House we bowled and fielded brilliantly to restrict them to 74 all out. Our captain, Joe D led by example with figures of 5 for 9, which included four consecutive wickets!! He was supported by some excellent bowling from Tom C, Freddie B, Dan C and Will M.

Chasing a small total is not always easy, and we made hard work of it! We got there in the end with a winning margin of 2 wickets, but it really should have been easier. We now face Cheam School from Berkshire in the 2^nd round.
