Fred Sedgwick: Local Schools’ Days It has become an established feature in our calendar now that Fred Sedgwick, a published author and editor visits for several days and we invite local schools to come and work with him too. I have sat in on several sessions and have thoroughly enjoyed what I have seen. It is great to see Robert Louis Stevenson's
Treasure Islandinspire bloodthirsty tales and a walk in the grounds inspire poetry akin to Wordsworth's Daffodils. Just as important as the work is the manner in which our boys conduct themselves as hosts to our guests. Over the two days our Year 6 boys acquitted themselves well and certainly gave a good account of themselves.
Today our Year 5 boys enjoyed an excellent's day writing with Fred.
