Chess and General Knowledge

Friday 17th December 2010

The Easter Term is an important one for Chess and general
knowledge. The British Land Chess Challenge will take
place in club time for Years 5 & 6 on Tuesdays from
5:10pm to 5:55pm. Outstanding performers will qualify for
the regional finals and
prizes will be won by
all who take part
according to points
scored. The SATIPS
quiz will take place for
boys in Years 5-8 and
the first round of the
Junior Schools
Challenge will take
place in the latter part
of the term. Following the success of the Year 6 boys who
won the Uppingham Quiz, we will be starting an ‘on the
buzzer’ club on a Thursday at 5:10—5:55pm for boys in
Years 5 & 6 to train for future fixtures. Alan
