BP Maths Trading
Tuesday 12th July 2011
Last week both Year 7 and 8 boys took part in an 'oil trading game' provided by BP. The aim of the road show was to form small companies trading barrels of oil by learning how to play a fictitious 'Stock Market'. The boys listened well to all the information and learnt about both 'bullish' and 'bearish' markets. They played six trading rounds each with the winning teams making over $200,000 in profit from an original $50,000 investment. Sir Alan Sugar has already been alerted to these future commodities traders!
Congratulations to all the boys who showed great interest throughout the sessions but especially to Joe D and Charles O who won the Year 8 challenge with Hugo S, James Graham, Niles W and Oliver P winning in Year 7.
