On Wednesday,  four boys were taken by their sports coaches to the Watford Open Graded Meeting. Essentially the event works by running a series of races for athletes in which they are grouped according to performance, from novice to international quality.  Christian W, Frank G and Harry C all took part in the 200m and all performed creditably.  Christian and Frank both achieved the regional qualifying standard and Christian is not far off the national standard.  Baz  ran a solid 2 min 42 in the 800m which bodes well for his preferred event the 1500m.  Well done to all of them. The night proved popular, it is hoped that we will be able to take even more boys in the future to Graded Meetings.
