A Lunchtime Rectial

Thursday 26th May 2011

The Year 5 to 8 boys were delighted to be played into lunch by a professional cellist on Tuesday. Rowena Calvert, who is Mr M's Sister-in-law, agreed to play at the start of lunch before Grace was said. Rowena, who attended the Menuhin School before studying at the Royal Academy in London and the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, is a member of the award winning Cavaleri string quartet and is also a sought after soloist in her own right. She was visiting her sister and agreed to play despite having no music to play from and being given only 5 minutes notice! The boys and staff really appreciated her giving up her time.
