Aldwickbury has a strong tradition of mutual respect, understanding and support as typified in our boarding experience. We make sure that all boys have our support and encouragement, and we inspire them to help each other in turn. Our school has an exceptional academic record, and a great spirit of celebration for life, learning and achievement.
There is always plenty to do at Aldwickbury, and by boarding it increases the opportunities available. As a preparatory school, one of our primary aims is to prepare children for the transition and progression to their public school.
Boys aiming for local day schools often take the opportunity to enjoy the boarding experience on offer. A chance to get involved in the boarding community and to gain some independence is hard to miss. We hope that all children will experience boarding in their last two years, especially if going on to boarding senior schools.
When can I board?
Boys may board when they reach Year 6. Boarding is not restricted to boys who are considering boarding at 13+; all boys may benefit from what boarding has to offer.
Full weekly boarders are with us each night from Monday to Thursday, as well as those Sundays when Chapel takes place. “Regular temporary” boarding and “occasional temporary” boarding are also available.
